The soft pneumatic valve is a geometrical construction fabricated by heat sealing layers of soft thermoplastic sheets. Without involving any hard plastic or metallic part, a valve or 'pneumatic diode' has been contructed out of soft thermoplastic sheets. It builds upon the powerful idea that information is physical in nature. So carefully designed geometries can represent basic computational entities like a diode or switch going beyond conventional electronics. [More details restricted]
